Coco Montoya's career began in the mid 1970s when Albert Collins asked him to join his band as a drummer.  Master Collins then taught this young lefty to play guitar!  Coco spent 5 years touring with Albert, then spent 10 years touring with John Mayall as a member of the infamous Bluesbreakers.   On his own since the early 90s, Coco has released several highly acclaimed CDs.

6:00 PM - 12:00 AM
Juke Joint with Joel Foy, KM Williams and Washboard Jackson
"Juke Joint" - An informal type of drinking establishment that arose along the rural back roads of the South. The term "juke" has its likely origins in West Africa, where similar terms mean "wicked." Drinking, music, dancing, you get the idea...
The evening starts out with Joel Foy, who's set from 6-8:30pm will include acoustic blues performances, an acoustic open mic, and occasional showings of rare music video and DVD. During this happy hour set we offer free juke joint appetizers, catered by the Alligator Cafe.  At 9pm, KM Williams and Washboard Jackson bring their "trainwreck" blues to the stage to round out the evening.  Beer and whiskey drink specials all night long!

  Mike Zito
While the south side of Chicago may be better known for producing
artists such as Muddy Waters and Bo Diddley, the south side of St.
Louis has produced it's own talent, such as Chuck Berry, Sheryl Crow,
and now current blues sensation Mike Zito .

Zito has been described as a blazing guitarist with an expressive vocal
style. His new CD reflects that description, with finely crafted songs
rooted in the blues

Zito is touring in support of his new CD, "Today," released on May 20.
He has teamed up with Grammy Award-winning producers Tony Braunagel
(B.B. King, Bonnie Raitt) and David Z. (Prince, Etta James).
Although Zito's songs are clearly rooted in the blues, there's elements
of other styles as well. "Well, I'm not sure if you've heard of Bugs
Henderson, but he did an album called 'American Music,' and that pretty
much summed it up to me. It's blues, it's country, and it's rock 'n'
roll all rolled up in one . . . it's American music," he said.

  Pete Weise
The Pete Weise Quartet released Masch Branch in 2002, a compilation of
modern, original jazz compositions tinged with shades of 60's Miles
Davis recordings. Masch Branch features Weise on electric guitar and
Chad Makela (from Doc Severenson’s Band) on baritone sax. The quartet
also includes Paul Stivitts (of Maynard Ferguson’s Band) on drums and
Rus Wimbish on bass. Weise draws subtly from his influences, John
Scofield and Wayne Shorter being the most discernible, to create a
sound and style that is very much his own.
Sat - Nov 15
9:30 PM - 1:00 PM
  Joe Jonas and The Silvertones
Joe Jonas backed by the Silvertones!
(The REAL Joe Jonas, not the teeny-bopper!)

Joe Jonas is a singing icon.
"As he nears 70, Joe
Jonas' voice remains rich, crystal clear, and powerful. His years of
gigging and the deep emotional charge that escapes though his music
places him in that increasingly rare category of "must hear" vocalist".

  Bonerama
Big brass from New Orleans!
When Bonerama struts onstage with its four-trombone frontline, you can
guess it’s not quite like any rock ’n’ roll band you’ve seen. When they
tear into some vintage New Orleans funk, there’s no questioning from
which city these guys hail. And when those ‘bones start ripping into
Hendrix and Led Zeppelin licks, all stylistic bets are off.
You saw them on Letterman earlier this year, come on down to Pearl and see the real deal !
