Buddy Whittington
Buddy Whittington began playing the guitar inspired by his sister's records of The Beatles, Rolling Stones and, in particular, John Mayall's Bluesbreakers with Eric Clapton.
At the age of 14 he was already a part of the Dallas/Fort Worth music
scene and playing regularly in the clubs along Jacksboro Highway. While
attending high school, Buddy played in a band called "Short Change"
which opened for Point Blank (band),
a band that he would later join, replacing rhythm guitar player Kim
Davis. During the early 80's, he formed and sang with his own band "The
Sidemen". In 1991 they opened for John Mayall and when Coco Montoya
left the Bluesbreakers in 1993, Mayall called Buddy to fill in. Buddy parted with Mayall's band in 2008 after 15 years, and is now touring with his own band. $10 cover or $8 if purchased online in advance, click here

Buster Brown Band,
Legendary Funk /R&B band Buster Brown hits the stage with old
school rhythms and new surprises. Shaking up the music scene for more
than 30 years, BBB is still illustrating to newcomers how to lay it
down. Many musicians have come & gone, but founders Jim Casey on
guitar and phenomenal writer/arranger/ keyboardist Kelly McNulty are
still highly respected and copied throughout the industry. Here
is a recent Dallas Morning News Review.... Having toured the world, the Buster Brown Band has graced the

Rick Estrin and The Nightcats
For more than 30 years and nine albums, harmonica master/
vocalist/songwriter Rick Estrin fronted the jumping, swinging Little
Charlie And The The Nightcats, featuring guitarist Little Charlie Baty.
With Baty’s recent retirement from touring, Estrin—along with the
Nightcats’ longtime rhythm section of J. Hansen and Lorenzo Farrell and
a new member, fiery guitarist Kid Andersen—takes the lead on his own.
The band’s debut album, Twisted, while still swinging the
blues, is a harmonica-driven, rocking, guitar-fueled rave-up. Featuring
14 songs (including 10 Estrin originals, two by Kid Andersen, one by
Hansen, and a superb band-created instrumental), Twisted showcases Rick’s seemingly effortless command of the harmonica, his streetwise vocals and his remarkable original songs. $12 cover or $10 if purchased online in advance, click here

Lil Ed and The Blues Imperials
Special Early Show - 8pm! Lil' Ed Williams, although small in stature, is a true giant of the blues, and
among the very last authentic West Side Chicago bluesmen. Lil’ Ed
boasts a direct bloodline to blues history — his uncle and musical
mentor was the great Chicago slide guitarist and recording artist J.B.
Hutto. According to The Chicago Tribune, “Williams represents one of
the few remaining authentic links to the raucous but pure Chicago
blues.” The Associated Press agreed, stating, “Williams fills Chicago’s
biggest shoes with more life and heat than anyone on stage today.” Between the band's untamed music, and Ed's flying leaps, backbending, and toe-walking through the audience, it's no wonder the Boston Globe calls Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials "the world's #1 house rockin' band" $10 cover

An Evening with Michelle Shocked
One of America's most mercurial and talented singer/songwriters,
Grammy-nominated Michelle Shocked became the first woman ever
designated Official Texas State Musician, in 2008. Iconoclastic,
irreverent, unbridled and slightly twisted, political gadfly/feminist
Shocked has unloaded her deep and far-ranging pan-genre broadsides from
the fringes of pop culture since 1986.
Her new CD "Soul of My Soul" is the artist's first studio disc since
releasing three separate discs on the same day in 2005, and it's easily
her most straightforward shot at mainstream pop/rock ever. Shocked and producer/multi-instrumentalist Devin Powers' guitar-fueled, big
beat, glossy approach variously evokes sonic earmarks of Stones-y,
hip-shaking swagger ("Love's Song"), dreamy, F-Mac-style pop ("Other
People"), Memphis soul (the magnificent "Liquid Prayer"), up-tempo
folk-rock anthems ("Ballad of the Battle"), New Wave-era punky-pop and
even-fizzier dance-floor delights. And -- as usual -- it's all artfully crafted and brilliantly sung. $25 at the door or $23 if purchased online in advance, click here
